SW launches new Twitter feed with previously unreleased PT material

0

Steven Wilson has joined the Twitter revolution! If you have a Twitter account, you can follow Steven on Twitter @StevenWilsonHQ. To help kick things off, he’s posted a link to an unreleased demo of a Porcupine Tree track titled ‘Godfearing’. Steven left a note on his SoundCloud profile discussing the track, which I’ve posted below.

I found this on an old computer – it’s a demo for either the In Absentia or Deadwing albums, something that never got used – I can’t be totally sure because while it shares lyrical themes with the songs on In Absentia, one of the melodies seems to relate to another piece from Deadwing era. I don’t remember too much about it, other than I guess it wasn’t good enough to get any further than this. Rescued from the abyss, so I only have a compressed audio file of this one, sorry about that – SW

Here I am with Steven Wilson!

The Steven Wilson Street Team is asking for your photos!

0

The Steven Wilson Street Team is currently running a small promotion on their Facebook page aimed at the community – Members can submit photos via Facebook message of them posing with Steven Wilson, which could be featured as the SWST cover image, which will be seen by over 3,000 members that are currently subscribed to the page. Alternatively, you can send them images of you showing your support for the Street Team by holding up a sign – this sign can be anything, even a piece of paper! I’d try to be a bit more creative, though!

Hi everyone! Does anyone out there have a photo of themselves with SW that they’d like to show the world? We’re going to start rotating the cover photo randomly and we’d like to begin by shining the spotlight on you guys! If you have a photo of you and SW that you’d like to see as our cover photo, please send it to us in a facebook message. Also, if you’d like to show your support for the Official SW street team, send us a photo of you holding a sign you made showing your support of the SWST. These will also be rotated in with the other cover photos! This is not a contest. We just want want to show everyone how great all of you guys are!
